Planiform was founded more than 50 years ago and is specialized in designing, manufacturing and installing automated conveyor systems for distribution centers, retail stores and industrial laundries. Our conveyor and robotic systems are often tailor-made according to the needs of our customers. Planiform's sales are mainly in the USA and Canada andwe are currently expanding in Europe.

What will your responsibilities be?
 
As a Technical Sales and Market Development Director, you will be responsible of the sales department staff, a marketing contractor in the United States and a sales contractor team in Europe. Your ideas will be listened to and you will be considered a key player at Planiform. This is the advantage of working in a SME!
  • Develop and implement a strategic sales plan on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis in order to achieve sales objectives.
  • Motivate the sales team in their daily performance through daily and/or weekly meetings.
  • Facilitate meetings with the sales department to develop and implement sales strategies on a monthly/annual basis.
  • Participate in the recruitment, selection, development, training and supervision of all sales employees.
  • Being a member of the management committee.
  • Support the team in order to provide proposals adapted to each client.
  • Set up an annual departmental budget and monitor it.
  • Prepare comprehensive proposals and presentations for clients. Work in collaboration with the engineering department for the design of solutions.
  • Travel in Quebec and abroad to meet our clients (total of 5 to 7 short trips per year)
  • Supervise the drafting of sales contracts and negotiate them with the client
  • Participate in trade shows and trade fairs.
  • Participate in brainstorms with the sales team and do the preliminary design of projects.
  • Establish business relationships with customers.
  • Develop and maintain a network of contacts.
  • Work in collaboration with the different departments.
  • The candidate will be more than welcome to share their experience, be creative and bring new ideas to improve the sales process.
What we are looking for:
 
  • BAC in Engineering, Technical Engineering or any other related fields.
  • Perfect command of English both orally and in writing, as our clients are mainly international.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in B2B sales.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in staff management.
  • Experience with the international market.
  • Experience in technical sales.
  • Experience with drafting and negotiating legal contracts.
  • Experience in intralogistics (an asset).
  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Be a cheerful person!
