IT Administrator 

Position Summary:

The IT Administrator plays a key role in the company’s technological evolution. They ensure the efficiency, security, and governance of the organization’s information systems while supporting company growth and the continuous improvement of business processes.

 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Collaborate with the other departments to define the IT strategy and align technology tools with the company’s needs.

  • Plan and manage IT projects, including the deployment of new tools, system migrations, and solution integrations.

  • Define and implement data governance practices, including: the management of roles and access, data security and protection, as well as the control and reduction of Shadow IT practices.

  • Oversee the support and optimization of the company’s ERP system, including: system configuration and maintenance, user support, process improvement, and coordination with external partners as needed.

  • Supervise and liaise with the external IT support team and establish operational priorities in line with business objectives.

  • Implement and maintain data protection practices, including security policies, DLP processes, access controls, and tools such as Microsoft Purview.

  • Manage service providers, IT contracts, and the IT department budget.

  • Ensure the security and compliance of the organization’s IT systems and data.

  • Monitor emerging technologies and propose continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Provide user support when needed.

 

Profile

  • Design and develop automated conveyor mechanical systems (belt conveyors, roller conveyors, chains, transfers, etc.).

  • Produce concepts, technical calculations, drawings, and detailed layouts (2D and 3D).

  • Select mechanical components (motors, gearboxes, bearings, structures, mechanisms).

  • Participate in design reviews and ensure compliance with applicable standards (safety, performance, reliability).

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (automation, electrical, manufacturing, procurement).

  • Support manufacturing, assembly, installation, and commissioning of equipment.

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting schedules and budgets.

  • University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

  • 5–8 years of experience in IT management, ideally in a manufacturing or technology environment.

  • Strong knowledge of information systems, networking, cybersecurity, and project management.

  • Experience with ERP systems (Business Central is an asset)

  • Proven experience in data governance, including the implementation of frameworks, policies, and data management best practices.

  • Strong leadership, analytical thinking, attention to detail, and communication skills.

  • Versatile, well organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.

  • Commitment to providing reliable and continuous IT services.

  • Bilingualism (French/English) required.
