 IT Manager

Job Description:

The IT Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational management of Planiform’s IT systems. They ensure the performance, security, and evolution of technological infrastructure while supporting internal teams with their digital needs.

Planiform was founded over 50 years ago. We design, manufacture and install automated conveyor and robotic systems for distribution centers. Our mission is to revolutionize the Garments on Hanger Industry around the world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee all IT infrastructure (servers, networks, workstations, software).
  • Manage all IT needs for planiform; software, hardware, web services and systems need
  • Setup and take down of employe workstations
  • Maintain inventory of all hardware and necessary licencing
  • Able to troubleshoot and solve IT needs on and off site remote.
  • Ensure system and data security (cybersecurity, backups, updates).
  • Manage IT projects: deployment of new tools, system migrations, solution integration.
  • Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and operations departments to align technology tools with business needs.
  • Manage external vendors and service contracts.
  • Conduct technology watch and propose continuous improvements.

Profile

  • University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in IT management, ideally in a manufacturing or technology environment.
  • Strong knowledge of information systems, networks, security, and project management.
  • Familiarity with industrial automation environments (an asset).
  • Leadership, analytical skills, rigor, and ability to work in a team.
  • Positive attitude to accommodate all level of users.
  • Detailed oriented and organized in work process
  • Desire to provide full-service IT needs without interruptions
  • Able to work as a single resource to IT needs at Planiform
  • Bilingualism (French/English) required.
