Planiform is currently looking for a full-time Recruitment and Human Resources Advisor to join its team in Terrebonne. We are in the midst of rapid growth and now have over 70 employees!

Planiform was founded over 50 years ago. We design, manufacture, and install automated conveyor systems for distribution centres and retail stores. Our conveyor systems are often custom-made based on our clients’ needs. Although Planiform’s sales are primarily in the United States and Canada, we also have clients around the world.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Human Resources Director, the Human Resources Advisor will be responsible for the full recruitment process for various technical, administrative and professional positions. The incumbent will play a key role in attracting, selecting and integrating talent, while also participating in various human resources projects, according to the organization’s needs.

Main Responsibilities

Talent acquisition, onboarding and integration

You’ll be involved in managing the full recruitment process, from understanding the hiring need to welcoming new employees, including the following responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with managers to fully understand hiring needs, desired profiles and recruitment priorities
  • Write or adapt job descriptions and job postings
  • Post job opportunities on relevant platforms, including LinkedIn
  • Source candidates through direct outreach, resume databases, LinkedIn and other relevant channels
  • Review applications received and conduct pre-screening interviews
  • Coordinate interviews with managers and follow up with candidates
  • Participate in interviews and support managers in assessing candidates
  • Coordinate the next steps in the process, including pre-employment checks and technical tests
  • Prepare employment offers and follow up with candidates
  • Keep recruitment tracking tools up to date and produce certain HR indicators as needed
  • Contribute to the development of talent attraction strategies adapted to market realities and the company’s needs
  • Participate in preparing for the arrival of new employees
  • Coordinate the onboarding process with managers and internal teams, including the payroll team
  • Welcome new employees in collaboration with the Payroll and Human Resources Technician

Human Resources projects and initiatives

Depending on organizational and HR department priorities, you may also have the opportunity to participate in other interesting projects, including:

  • Participate in identifying and implementing initiatives related to organizational development and training
  • Support managers in managing their teams
  • Collaborate on the review of HR policies, HR documents, procedures, job descriptions and internal tools
  • Support the HR team in certain files related to the employee life cycle
  • Collaborate in organizing internal social initiatives that promote engagement and company culture

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Postsecondary education in human resources management, industrial relations or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in human resources management, mainly in recruitment
  • Experience in a technical, engineering and/or SME environment
  • Good knowledge of recruitment tools, including LinkedIn
  • Member of the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés, an asset

Desired Skills

  • Bilingualism required, as the position involves interacting with candidates or agencies located outside Quebec
  • Ability to adapt and remain agile in a growth-oriented environment
  • Ability to build authentic relationships
  • Ability to work as part of a team while demonstrating a high level of autonomy
  • Ability to manage several files at once
  • Excellent organizational skills
